Working at Champ Software

We like to think we have a unique working environment. Here are some things we think make us stand apart.

  • We're really agile. It means pair-programming, refactoring, and state-of-the-art continuous integration, build, and deployment infrastructure.
  • We're good, and always improving. We have daily stand-up meetings and regular retrospectives. We figure out what we're doing wrong, so we can fix it, and what we're doing right, so we can make it even better. Working here means you get better at what you already do well, every day.
  • We are not a startup – we have been here for 26 years and plan on being around for 26 more.
  • We don’t take VC money – the decisions we make are our own and are not influenced by any investors.
  • We aren’t afraid of new ideas – we are not stuck in the drudgery of the corporate world, we are continually exploring new approaches to development, sales, project management, and support.
  • Flexible hours – we want our developers to feel free to work when they are most creative
  • Flexible location – we have an office in Mankato, MN but if cold weather isn’t your thing we offer the ability to work remotely.
  • A small company – at large companies your voice can easily get drowned out. That’s not us; here your voice gets heard.
  • Talk with end-users. Rather than layers of management or business analysts between you and the end-user, we want you to talk to end-users as much as you like – it produces better software.
  • Continuing education compensation and all-expense-paid technical conferences.  We want you to grow!
