Job Description

We are looking for a Sr. Java Software Engineer to join the product development team.  You will be responsible for building out new products while maintaining and expanding our existing offerings. Developing and improving on our highly scalable web delivery platform. Becoming an active participant on our team by helping drive innovation to propel us forward into new markets.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Think critically, work independently and contribute well-written code as a member of an Agile development team
• Design and implement code for new features
• Maintain, monitor and operate existing systems
• Fantastic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Work closely with our Dir. of Product Management to help determine requirements and priorities
• Document your work and communicate issues as necessary
• Excellent communication skills
• A passion for programming
• Fundamental knowledge of Java and/or Javascript
• Fundamental knowledge of HTML/CSS
• Fundamental knowledge of APIs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
• Ability to lead and mentor a 5+ junior to intermediate development team

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

• Familiarity with versioning systems (e.g., subversion or git)
• Experience with our tech stack: Java, ExtJS, Javascript, and git
• Experience with MongoDB and noSQL
• 7+ years of software development experience
• You have a history of getting things done efficiently
• You work well with test driven and Agile methodologies
• Strong Java skills

NICE TO HAVE:

• MongoDB experience a plus
