Weddingful: Web Developer

We are looking for a full stack Web Developer to join our team in supporting Weddingful.com into its next phases of growth. You will have the opportunity to choose tasks/technologies best suited to your skill set, after becoming familiar with all aspects of our site.

We pride ourselves in our technology stack. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with new technologies and can pick them up quickly. Here are some examples of the tools/services that we currently use: Ruby 1.9, CoffeeScript, JavaScript, Sass, Rails 3.1, Backbone.js, jQuery, Resque, Redis, MySQL, EC2, and Mailgun. 

This is a salaried, full-time, in-office position. We work in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that focuses on solving problems rather that just putting in the hours. 

We are looking for:

• A proven track record of completing projects
• Interest in underlying technical principles behind what you are building
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Knowledge in web domain (Javascript/CSS/html/Python) is highly desirable
• Experience with Ruby/Coffeescript is a bonus
• A BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Experience in (and love for) a start-up culture
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• A passion for the technology industry including keeping up with current technology/web-related trends
• Knowledge of the wedding industry in North America is a bonus
• A can-do attitude with a long-term growth plan
