TechMediaNetwork owns 17 websites specializing in everything from expert product reviews to the latest news about tech and science and averages approximately one million visitors a day.  We’re looking for talented, enthusiastic, experienced Ruby on Rails Developers to work with our team of amazing developers on our websites and applications.  If you live and breathe solid software design and development methodologies and have a portfolio of project experience to back it up, we want you.

 

What we expect from you:

·         You’ll be integral in planning, implementing and launching features and products

·         Enjoy working in an agile environment with a team of other developers

·         Have at least 3 years experience with Ruby on Rails (php is a plus)

·         Thrive on implementing pixel-perfect user experiences with CSS and Javascript

·         Understand AB Testing

·         Encourage TDD and have a strong desire to teach other developers the importance of TDD

·         Experienced in object oriented design and development and know how to keep code DRY

·         Extensive MySQL knowledge

·         Effectively communicate in a team environment

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

 

We’d be really impressed if you understand:

·         Cassandra, Redis and other NoSQL technologies

·         RabitMQ and AMPQ
