Customer Service Representative

Customer Service Representative As a Customer Service Representative with Lake Region Medical you will secure product sales in assigned region in conjunction with the Technical Sales Specialist and/or Sales Representatives and provide daily service support to all assigned clients. The CSR will achieve optimal customer service levels through active participation in account development, product launches, and internal and external process improvement initiatives within the Sales and Marketing team. The CSR will have authority to take independent action as defined by established policy. Accountabilities include: Product and Service Administration Provide a professional level of customer support relating to product quotation, sample request administration, purchase order facilitation, account billing, product deliverables, and product quality or related customer concerns. Anticipate, identify and resolve issues that may adversely affect customer relations, obtain assistance from higher level customer service staff or other appropriate internal staff to resolve more difficult quality, service or application questions. Prepare and present competitive, accurate, and profitable quotations with follow-up for conversion to orders; recommend appropriate alternative product or packaging when necessary to meet or exceed the needs of the customer. Assure timely delivery of orders and advise customers of any anticipated delays and revised ship dates. Promote increase of 10% in sales annually by encouraging larger order quantities and consideration of additional Lake Region products. Review weekly activity reports and month-end unit/revenue reports to identify sales variances and to anticipate the need for placement of continuations to impending blanket order completions. Determine follow-up needed with manager and proactively contact customers for additional orders or forecast information. Analyze assigned customer base to identify opportunities for implementation of binding agreements in prices and/or unit volumes. With management assistance, pursue those opportunities and secure customer commitment. Maintain accurate customer profile information in a timely manner. Continue to build and utilize knowledge of Lake Region's product offering and custom product capabilities, as well as each product's clinical applications. Be alert to competitor products and sales strategies; provide updates to department. Meet quarterly performance objectives as determined in conjunction with the manager. Exemplify and promote "Team Spirit" with other members of the Sales and Marketing Department. Schedule and coordinate customer visits to Lake Region. Including agendas, notifying attendees and holding any required internal meetings prior to visit. Contract and Price Agreement Administration Act as primary liaison, both internally and externally, for all contractual/price agreement issues. Ensure compliance to the terms and conditions of the contract/price agreement. Analyze, summarize and monitor all contract/price agreement for compliance requirements and deliverables. Document internal/external activities as they relate to contract/price agreement requirements and distribute to appropriate personnel. Receive and process requests for, and any implementation of, revisions or amendments to the contract/price agreement. Provide and distribute quarterly reporting as specified in the contract/price agreement. Promote a "partnership spirit" with the customer and maintain an awareness of the customer's perception of Lake Region and issues that may negatively impact customer relations. Process Administration Identify and implement cross-functional process improvement initiatives that maximize and promote administrative efficiency and/or product values. Utilize problem solving skills to correct internal actions that may adversely affect customer relations. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, preferably in Business, Marketing or Communications. Minimum of one year previous Customer Service experience in a manufacturing or health related field required. Ability to manage diverse workload and multiple priorities with attention to detail. Effective organizational, motivational, conflict management, and negotiation skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including superior telephone techniques. Ability to quickly acquire technical knowledge of products and related clinical procedures. PC experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
