Engineering Quality Junior Designer

Position Summary: Our Quality group within our production engineering team is seeking two designers or draftspersons for our production engineering team. These positions will be responsible for completing engineering design tasks and or integration projects from concept to implementation into production. This team is the go to team for production issues to be resolved which could relate to design activities, calculations, communication, and problem solving along with resolving drawing issues or bill of material updates. Skills & Qualifications: The positions require individuals who are graduates from a recognized mechanical or electrical engineering program or certified engineering technologist program. The team players liaison with production and internal engineering groups to ensure the build issues are resolved within a short period of time. The successful candidates will have strong communication and organizational skills to work effectively with internal and external customers and various levels within the organization. Candidates will also enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks ensuring timelines and organizational objectives are achieved. Manufacturing experience would be considered a definite asset. Experience with MS Office, Unigraphics NX6, would also be an asset coupled with a few years of hands-on design experience preferably within, a Bus, or Heavy Duty Truck manufacturing setting.
