We’re looking for a Rails developer who loves challenges and is a bit car crazy. MotorLot is the engine that runs independent auto dealers across the country. We are expanding and think you’ll like working with us.
Some of the things you’ll be working on include:
- Programming deals to calculate correctly, factoring in taxable and non-taxable items.
- Adding in an integration with an outside marketing partner using an API.
- Creating the functionality of our dealer websites.
- Working directly with a dealer to look at why their accounting records are off.
Requirements
2+ years experience building web applications using Ruby on Rails
Experience with MySQL database
Capabilities with (X)HTML and CSS
Strong knowledge of version control systems and application deployment
Experience with testing frameworks such as Test::Unit or RSpec
Experience working with API and FTP data imports and exports
Self-motivated and self-managed
Proven capability of working remotely
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building B2B applications
Experience in scaling web applications
Experience building with AJAX
Startup or small company experience
Entrepreneurial tendencies, you don’t need direction
Open source contributions
