ABOUT THE POSITION

Currently, we are seeking a Senior level PHP/MySQL developer with excellent front end knowledge for full time employment.

WHO WE WANT TO HIRE

The candidate should have extensive experience with database design. You also have superior communication skills, and are comfortable discussing strategy and exploring solutions with non-technical members. You should also be able to prioritize, plan and manage your time. You should feel comfortable managing and collaborating with other developers across multiple projects, as well as working with multiple project managers. Candidate must have a high interest in keeping up with rapidly evolving front end technologies (no tables here). Your opinion will be respected and your experience and advice welcome.

• PHP 4 & 5 – very comfortable with object-oriented PHP
• MySQL – comfortable coding large queries and various complex table operations
• Code websites in CSS, XHTML, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuerry, PHP V5, MySQL V5
• Add new features, modify and support existing code and databases, for existing websites
• Knowledge and experience of working with the Facebook open graph API
• Knowledge of LAMP stack, as well as high comfort level with hosting environments
• Maintain a workable coding environment – bug / issue tracking, version control
• Comprehensive knowledge of WordPress/Drupal, and the ability to implement complex sites and create custom plugins as necessary

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Languages/ Technologies: HTML5, CSS3, PHP5, SQL, JavaScript, XML, JQuery
• Applications/ Methodologies: MySQL, SQL Server, Apache, CS5 Photoshop, Illustrator, Subversion, S3/ CDN
• Knowledge of designing database schema, and setup/administration of MySQL databases using PHPMyAdmin
• Self-starter with high standards, able to work independently or on a team and open about offering options/solutions
• An solid understanding of XML/JSON and Web Services
• 3-4 years of lead/senior level experience

• Mobile development of iPhone/Android/Tablets – Front end HTML/CSS sites that tie into a consistent CMS
• Creating JavaScript Animations and Page Transitions
