ManageIQ, the emerging leader in software and solutions for private cloud enablement, virtual infrastructure management and the management of virtual desktop infrastructures, is looking for software engineers to join our growing team. As a key member of our development team, you will be working to increase our technological lead over our competition by leveraging 2 fundamental technologies: Ruby on Rails and Virtualization. Your ability to quickly respond to market needs while keeping automated tests green will help attract new customers and continue to delight our existing customers.

Qualifications

• Have built top-quality web software
• Expert knowledge of Ruby on Rails and web development
• Expert knowledge of writing automated tests in RSpec
• Strong knowledge of SQL and databases
• Hands on experience with virtualization technologies from VMware, Microsoft, Citrix, RedHat
• Hands on experience with cloud technologies from Amazon, Rackspace, Terremark, Google
• Strong Javascript skills including knowledge of one or more Javascript frameworks
• Hands on experience with Git with an active GitHub account (subversion a plus)
• Stay up to date on web developments; familiar with HTML5 and CSS3
• Computer Science degree or equivalent experience
• In-depth knowledge of scalability, systems engineering, design patterns, and algorithms
• Great product sense, excellent technical judgment and architecture experience

Responsibilities

• Take a fundamental role in the design and development of our world class solution
• Continuously improve our automated test suite
• Perform analysis and troubleshooting of customer incidents
• Communicate clearly with documentation, product management and account teams

• This is a full-time role in Mahwah, NJ
