Newsle: Software engineer

Newsle (newsle.com) is looking for a hacker to join our small and growing team.  Candidates should be excellent coders who like to work on difficult, unsolved technical problems at scale.  NLP or machine learning experience is great, but not required.

Newsle tracks people in the news.  We recently launched a major product update and announced our seed funding (http://techcrunch.com/2012/02/22/newsle-funding-and-launch/).  Our core technology disambiguates news to differentiate people with the same name.  We also work on interesting problems like clustering news articles around stories or topics, and we process millions of articles a day.

In addition to strong coding skills, candidates should have a desire to work on research-oriented problems, have strong communication skills, and want to work in a small team.  Impressive side projects or open source contributions are great ways to stand out.

If you're interested in developing a consumer web app based on real, cutting-edge technology, get in touch!

To apply: Send resumes or github accounts to axel@newsle.com
