We are looking for a top-notch back end developer interested in planning server-side solutions for responsive web sites as well as recommending and setting up content management systems, all while ensuring every site has an optimal loading time. You will be working with a team of designers and front-end developers to make sure every site looks professional and just plain works on every platform Apple, Samsung, HTC, Amazon, Nokia, HP, Microsoft, etc. can dream up.
You’ll be working with web sites of all kinds (e-commerce, blogs, professional, portfolio, marketing, and everything in-between) with back-ends ranging from Wordpress to Interspire, Concrete5 to no content management system at all. You’ll be asked for input at the beginning of each project in order at to ensure the best possible solution is implemented for all clients. You’ll also be in charge of managing our server configurations and deployment, but this is a small part of the job.
This job requires creative and strategic thinking, integrating client and end-user needs with the overall goals of each project. We want you to geek out, stay on the cutting edge of web development, and create really awesome websites with us.
Required Skills
- PHP
- MySQL
- AJAX
- Experience with working with APIs, especially Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
- Good written, verbal, and email communication skills
Nice to Haves
- Python or Ruby (or interest in learning it)

- Contributions to open source or examples of your work
- Knowledge of some of the best techniques in creating responsive web sites
