We are looking for a front-end web developer who loves coding, solving tricky layout problems, learning, and demonstrating kick ass ideas.  You will be part of a team that is responsible for the customer-facing UI of our web-site. Were heavy on legacy PHP and migrating to Python&Django for much of our newer code.  You will be diving in and contributing immediately!  Must be able to work well with a team and be comfortable going on solo missions without a great deal of oversight.

Responsibilities:

* Producing working HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from PSD comps

* Participating in the design and implementation of new site features

* Integrating front-end UI designs with server code

* Production UI support for sales, updates, etc.

Requirements:

* 3 to 5 years development, testing and implementation experience

* Expertise with PHP and/or Python&Django

* Expert at writing semantic, sound HTML

* Familiar with the tenets of Object-Oriented CSS

* Expert at writing efficient, lean, composable CSS

* Adept at converting "page-ready" art into accurate HTML layouts

* Super keen eye for detail; understands the important of pixel-perfect page building

* Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility

* Working knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery

* Familiar with version control; doesn't need to know how to use command line, but should be eager to learn

* Familiarity working within back-end environments

* Should be experienced working with templates; familiarity with Smarty and/or Django templates a plus

* Understands the important of W3C validation, standards and accessibility compliance

* Ability to communicate succinctly and clearly

* Sense of humor
