Based out of Santa Monica or the Bay Area, we are looking for Lead Software Engineers with the following skills:

•     A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
•     Nine to twelve years of experience is preferred.
•     Eight years of experience developing in Core Java and JEE (JSP, Servlets, JMS, JNDI, Tag Libraries) on UNIX, Linux, and/or Windows.
•     Extensive experience using relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2); web servers (Apache, Tomcat); and JEE application servers (WebLogic, JBoss, Resin).
•     Experience with latest versions of Spring framework and Domain Driven Design and development are strongly desirable.
•     Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead other Software Engineers.
•     Experience with high volume OLTP systems.
•     Experience with full software development life cycle.
•     Ability to oversee projects within budget and schedule.
•     Self-starter with strong problem solving skills and the ability to articulate concise solutions.

What you will be working on:

•     Leads and mentors small teams of software engineers in their day-to-day activities. Manages software projects and time-lines. Manages full software development lifecycle including testing, implementation, and maintenance.
•     Analyzes project requirements and makes recommendations as appropriate. Leads software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.
•     Interfaces with other technical teams including Quality Assurance, Operations, and Project Management.
•     Writes and contributes to technical documentation. Creates test scripts and performs detailed unit testing and analysis on software and systems.
•     Modifies, repairs, or enhances existing software to correct errors, increase efficiency, upgrade interfaces, or improve performance. Performs product design, bug verification and remediation, as well as production support. Uses JEE and related software development technologies to implement highly scalable and reliable enterprise n-tier distributed applications.
