The Opportunity
Exciting early stage opportunity, Basho is a privately held startup company. Although Riak is open source, we currently have many commercial clients. Our client opportunities are growing in both number and complexity and we are looking for talented individuals to join the team to coordinate delivery execution and improve the overall experience for our customers.
In this role you will be responsible for Program Management of client delivery. Responsibilities include:
· Providing technical and organizational leadership on client initiatives.
· Driving project schedules from design through implementation.
· Setting project management standards.
· Interact with client project sponsors, project stakeholders and multiple client and Basho teams to define and deliver complex features.
· Provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the client business needs against technical constraints / delivery schedules.
· Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels.
· Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders.
· Communicate project issues and status in a concise, accurate, and professional manner.
· Apply best practices to the delivery / development lifecycle for client projects based on experiences with a number of agile and blended approaches.
· Build and maintain project schedules that account for both internal staffing and software dependencies as well as potential external 3rd party constraints
· Remain flexible to changing priorities.

Candidate Requirements
· 3-8+ years’ experience with custom software development
· Positive attitude, professional presence and demeanor
· Hands-on project management skills, excellent leadership skill
· Organized, self-managing, requiring little supervision
· Can own a problem, present designs, and accept feedback professionally
· Proven track record of managing the delivery of complex projects
· BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related
