Mashape: Front-end Engineer Artist

Mashape is looking for a Front-end Engineer Designer (yes a designer, because you’re an artist, you design the software) that is truly passionate about solving front-end problems and define a pixel perfect UI. You will have the opportunity to have a huge impact as an early member. Besides the technical skills, we are most interested in you as a person.

We're looking to add smart and creative front-end coders, you’ll work with a crazy and passionate team to build the next generation of the site. Our team is small but ambitious; the environment is relaxed and fun. We get shit done that makes a difference.

 

Responsibilities:

• Implement production ready web pages on mashape.com
• Build a scalable frontend application in clear and beautiful code
• Make UX/UI decisions to deliver a better experience
• Work closely with the backend team and help making decisions
• Collaborate around the creation of new and existing features

 

Requirements:

• You know how to consume cloud APIs
• Deep experience with Javascript (and jQuery)
• Passionate about HTML5, CSS3 (LESS), AJAX
• Experience with designing end-user, web-based applications
• Experience with a server-side web framework (JSP, etc)
• User Interface design knowledge
• Experience with a verison control system (Git is a plus)
• A strong attention to details.
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop a strong plus (for slicing, CSS sprites, etc)
• Beautiful personal experiments. Let's see what you've got!
• Love for continuous deployment and getting things done quickly
• Passion in breaking the rules and changing the status quo
• Strong communication skills
