WHO WE ARE

We're PVPower, a solar energy company based in Chicago. We're a small team working hard to get more solar panels onto more roofs. We're revenue-generating, funded and growing.

What are we working on? Making it easy for solar installers to get projects done across the U.S. through our solar project planning app SolarBear and our e-commerce store.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a front-end developer to join our engineering team.  For starters, we’re looking someone skilled in HTML and CSS, and have a growing interest in Javascript. In addition to hard skills, communication is key.  You’ll be a key and growing role on our product team.  We’ll be looking to you to help brainstorm on ways we can be improving our app. 

We’re a Ruby-on-Rails shop, making extensive use of AJAX, HAML, SASS, jQuery, and Javascript templating.   It would great if you were versed and interested in these technologies and frameworks.   If you’re a talented developer and want to make a real difference, we’d love to talk to you. 

LOCATION & APPLICATION

We’re in Chicago but that doesn’t mean you have to be. We’re open to folks who are passionate and skilled, but not in our backyard. We have a successful track record of working with folks remotely.
