This is an opportunity to work with a team of developers and designers that balances agility and discipline in driving application design. On this small team youâ ll have a tremendous amount of responsibility, learn a ton and drive development for one of Bostonâ?s most successful startups.
The QA Engineer will develop and execute manual and automated test suites and processes that ensure quality throughout our release schedule. This person will implement and maintain a library of automated test scripts and develop a framework to create and perform ongoing test activities.  This person will investigate failed tests, report issues and assist the team with test automation needs for each project. The QA Engineer has an important role in notifying developers of quality issues that will lead the effort to identify areas of improvement.
Our platform includes a bunch of cutting-edge technologies (mobile applications, payment via QR codes, custom hardware) playing together in a really cool way. Responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to the following:
* Develop and execute test plans across all supported server and client platforms.
* Design, manage, and document functional, regression, and stress tests, with special attention to client/server integration points.
* Work with our support team and software engineers to investigate bug reports from users.
For this position weâ re looking for someone with the following experience:
* 1-3 years experience in software QA.
* Solid background in test automation for web and mobile applications.
* Familiar with at least one scripting language (Ruby a plus).
* Possess exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
* Strong communication skills to communicate with technical individuals.
Additional Helpful Skills:
* Experience developing tests for hardware (custom terminals).
* Experience in a startup environment.
