Poptent: Front End Developer

We’re looking for a full-time front-end developer who loves HTML, CSS & JavaScript. Our company is Poptent, and we do crowdsourced video production/advertising. We have a dedicated tech team which is constantly building and refining our social media platform along with other smaller projects.

Some things we might like about you:

• Love of HTML, CSS & JavaScript
• Passion for user experience
• Obsessive attention to detail
• Experience testing and debugging in multiple browsers/operating systems
• Understanding of/experience with back-end programming languages
• Understanding of the core JavaScript language
• Experience working on large-scale, high-traffic sites
• Familiarity with performance principles such as HTTP requests, caching, asset packaging, image spriting
• Familiarity with usability principles and testing
• Familiarity with accessibility best practices and guidelines
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Subversion, Mercurial, and Git
• Proficiency with Photoshop and an eye for design
• A desire to learn and grow through teamwork, books, and blogs

 

What is required:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective communication with team members
• 4+ years of professional web development experience
• BS in computer science or equivalent experience
• Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer
• Proficiency with Javascript, CSS, standards based HTML, SQL, PHP and MVC frameworks

 

And your key responsibilities will include:

• Creating and maintaining HTML, CSS, and JavaScript using Web Standards and industry best practices
• Ensuring cross-browser compatibility of front-end code
• Integrating front-end code with our MVC server-side framework
• Working with project managers, development team members, designers, and stakeholders to complete projects in a timely manner

Poptent has offices in Pennsylvania, California, and Brazil. This position is for a full-time employee, on-location in our freshly renovated industrial-modern office in Conshohocken, PA.
